Getting Summer time fine with the help of my Dolphin Pro Fitness Tracker Watch

It has taken me a while to review this fitness watch as I wanted to use it in it’s full capacity to give it an honest and unbiased review. The spec of this fitness tracker watch is quite similar to the more expensive branded ones like Apple and Fitbit.

The watch came in a plastic box with a small set of instructions which were very informative and useful and a magnetic charger. Before you use the watch, it is recommended to charge it for at least 30 minutes to an hour.

IMG_8845.JPG

The watch is small and neat. It has two pins as a clasp so you can adjust the size according to your wrist size. Because of this, the watch can fit a really small wrist all the way up to a large one so one size literally fits all. I find this feature perfect because when I am exercising, the watch doesn’t irritate me by sliding up and down my arm. It can initially be a bit fiddly to do but you get used to it and manage to find a way to pop it on. This watch is waterproof so you don’t have to fuss around with taking it off for your shower.

I have tried a couple of fitness tracker watches before and I have to say that this one in particular is simply flawless when it comes to setting up. All I had to do was simply download the app called “Smart Band” and I was able to instantly connect my phone to the watch via bluetooth. This app is available in the Apple app store and the Google Play store so it is compatible with Apple and Android phones. All you have to do is open up the app then select devices on the menu. It will then display the available devices that you can connect to. When you select your watch, it automatically updates with the date and time. Once synced, the watch can access any previous data your phone holds regarding fitness and it will display charts of your fitness progress.

The watch display is a great size and isn’t too bulky. The screen is just the right size to show the details that you need to see without it affecting your wrist movements or looking too masculine so it is great for men and women. The screen is touchscreen and really responsive so doesn’t require any harsh taps. There is also a gesture function available, so when you turn your wrist, the watch lights up and displays the time.

The features of this watch are great. It tracks how many steps I have done, calories burned, distance & time I have spent on fitness throughout each day. At night time, it tracks my sleep and breaks it down into the amount of hours of deep & light sleep I have had. I am also able to set daily goals that I wish to achieve. This is a great benefit to help me get healthier as I can gradually increase my goals. Additionally, if I have been sitting down for too long, the watch vibrates as a friendly reminder/ nudge to get up and get fit.

My favourite feature of this watch and the app is that you can add other users as friends on the app so that you can see their stats and compete against them. I find that this feature motivates me to work out even harder.

Besides fitness, the watch also shows and vibrates when you receive a text message, a phone call or any social media message and it also says what the notification is for and from on the screen. The watch also syncs really well with the alarms you have set on your phone via the app. When your alarm goes off, the watch vibrates quite a bit to ensure it wakes you and grabs your attention.

In terms of battery life, it is advertised on Amazon as lasting a week but I have to say that it performs much better than that. I believe the battery life reduced by roughly 4-5% a day! Furthermore, it charges really quickly. It takes less than half an hour to charge it to half the battery capacity which is awesome. The charge is fantastic as well, as it is small enough to pop into your pocket or handbag. It is magnetic so it “clips” onto the back of the watch and it is a USB lead so you can attach it to a traditional plug, your car or computer.

I really like this watch and would recommend it to anyone who wants to track their fitness but don’t want to spend too much money. This does exactly what it says it will. According to the user manual, the watch comes in a variety of colours so if you wanted a bright coloured one then you could get one. It would be great if you could swap the straps of the watch but at least it is black and will match with everything.

I will be wearing this smartwatch continuously to help with my fitness and weight loss, Dolphin Pro did an excellent job with this watch.

Pink Parcel – March Box

If you’re anything like me, you will understand my hatred towards packing. Not only did I have to pack my own suitcase for my impending trip to Jamaica but I also had to pack my daughters…..cue inner cry! The only thing that stopped me from having a mini meltdown was the arrival of my Pink Parcel March box!

IMG_7663

Pink Parcel is a monthly subscription box which offers 3 dispatch dates for you to choose from, based on your time of the month so you can be sure to receive your box before your period is due. This box removes any and every monthly cycle worries you may have as you are able to choose your preferred brand of sanitary products so your box is specific to you. It is only ÂŁ12.95 per month (postage is free) and you get your first box for ÂŁ9.95! Be sure to read about what was inside my February box.

I have to say that this March box was pretty AWESOME! I loved everything that I was given and some of the items were great to take with me on holiday, so perfect timing!

As usual, I received a more than adequate amount of period essentials for the month as well the super cute drawstring bags. I took one of these drawstring bags filled with tampons with me in my hand luggage for the flight. It was definitely helpful!IMG_6773

Just like in my February box, I received a feminine hygiene product and this time it was  a SASS Intimate Refreshing Mist (RRP ÂŁ8) with another great quote on it! When you’re on your period, you can feel a bit icky down there so this mist is a really good idea!

The mist leaves you feeling instantly refreshed by neutralising and protecting you from odour. The scent is very subtle and reminds me of fresh linen.

Now onto the beauty/lifestyle goodies which made me really happy!

  1. Travel sized Native Unearthed Natural Deodorant (RRP £5.39 for 100g) was an interesting product for me. I have heard a lot about the benefits of natural deodorants but I have never taken the plunge to try one. This particular stick of natural deodorant is 100& vegan, eco-friendly, allergy-friendly, cruelty-free and filled with natural minerals.
  2. A full sized bottle of Papaya Gold Paw Paw Balm (RRP ÂŁ5.99) which was one of my favourite products in this month’s box. This moisturising balm soothes, relieves and moisturises dry lips and skin extremely well as it is enriched with Bio Active Manuka Honey 20+. Whilst it feels like vaseline and has no scent, this balm is amazing. It was well used during my 8 hour flight and kept my face moisturised throughout the flight.
  3. Part of my holiday prep was ensuring my nails looked their best so the Mylee Crystal Nail File (RRP £4.89) was put to instant work! The great thing about this nail file is that it is made from hardened glass so it smooths the nail, completely sealing it without a trace of a split.
  4. A Cucumber Peel-Off Face Mask by Montagne Jeuness (RRP ÂŁ1) which true to it’s claims, removes dirt and dead skin, leaving your face feeling silky smooth and fresh.
  5. An amazingly scented Simple Candle Co Wax Melt in Oudh Nights (RRP £2). I love making my bedroom smell nice and this definitely ensured that happened. This  organic soy wax melt smelt amazing. I was proud to see that it was from a British brand and handmade and I have ordered a few more.
  6. Another favourite for me was the Pink Parcel “Hello Gorgeous” Pouch (RRPÂŁ3.99) which I use in my smaller handbags to keep my make-up essentials together. It is definitely a confidence booster!
  7. A pack of delicious Sweet Virtues Baobab and Vanilla Balance Chocolate Truffles (RRP £7) which contain more than 5 superfoods and are rich in vitamins. So in this instance, chocolate is good for you!
  8. Tasty tea by Teafields which was Pink Parcel‘s carefully chosen blend of Ginger and Pineapple Green Tea. This tea was delicious and I could actually do with another satchet!

In my opinion, Pink Parcel have done it again. Actually, they have done it even better than last month! I loved every single item in this box, it was almost as if they chose the items with me in mind. What is particularly great about Pink Parcel is that they work with carefully chosen amazing brands and I am happy to be introduced to. Again I am left wanting the next box now!

Skinapeel Peeling & Exfoliating Foot Mask Socks

I am constantly up and down on my feet and wear heels quite often which often makes the heels of my feet crusty and that is really unattractive! I normally use my ped-egg , pumice stone or Scholl express pedi to remove the harden skin. I was given the opportunity to try something different by Skinapeel which was their Peeling & Exfoliating Foot Mask socks.

Skinapeel claim that these socks contain vital ingredients that effectively penetrate into stubborn calluses and will:

  • Soften Hard Skin, Foot Calluses & Chapping Skin
  • Effectively Penetrate Into Stubborn Foot Calluses
  • Remove Foot Calluses & Soften the Feet in 3- 7 Day

The combination of Aloe, Cucumber and Deep Sea Algae means that the skin is left moisturised, relieved and repaired.

IMG_6917

I wasn’t sure what to expect when it came to these socks as the concept is strange but interesting.

Inside the packet were 2 red stickers, in-depth instructions and 2 “socks”. The socks aren’t actually socks but instead plastic bags which you slip your feet into and then put socks on over. This surprised me as I thought I would be receiving actual socks. The plastic socks were sealed and filled with a cloudy solution. I had to cut them to create an opening so that I could put my feet into them.

I am a UK 6.5 and my feet fit perfectly into these socks. I think it would be a tight fit in these socks if you’re a UK size 7 and up, which kind of rules out most men, unfortunately. The red tape was used to seal the socks once they were on my feet and then I put on some thick socks on top. The solution felt really cold on my feet at first but either I got used to them or they warmed up over time.

After 30 minutes, I washed the solution off and dried my feet and was left with extremely dry feet. The skin on the top of my feet was really tight and wrinkly, it felt really strange which I didn’t like. My feet stayed like this for 4 days without any signs of peeling. No matter how many different creams I used, my feet remained wrinkly. They looked like they belonged to a 90 year old.

By day 6, I finally noticed some peeling albeit a small amount. It is now day 9 and my feet look like they came out of a horror movie!

My feet have peeled in patches. I don’t want to pull the skin off as I don’t want to damage my feet in any way so I have left them half peeling off. I tried to scrub off what I can in the shower with my pumice stone but that barely worked and hurt a bit.

Overall, I can say that the areas of my feet that have peeled off are extremely soft and smooth, like a baby’s foot. However it is really embarrassing having disgusting peeling feet for such a long time. I hope the process finishes soon and I definitely wouldn’t be doing this again…..back to my old faithful pumice stone!

Jacob’s Cracker Crisps…..Full Of Flavour!

As a member of BzzAgent, I was given the opportunity to test the latest cracker crisp sensation – Jacob’s Cracker Crisp. Jacob’s Cracker Crisps are irresistibly tasty and perfect for sharing with friends!

IMG_3738

“Is it a cracker? Is it a crisp? Why, it’s a little bit of both! With three unbelievably moreish flavours, Sour Cream & Chive, Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, and Thai Sweet Chilli, brand new Jacob’s Cracker Crisps 150g bags are perfect for sharing with friends and family!” – BzzAgent

Upon opening my deliver from BzzAgent, I was excited to see three 150g bags of Jacob’s Cracker Crisps (one of each flavour) Thai Sweet Chilli, Sour Cream & Chive and Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, as well as 50p off coupons to pass along to my friends and family.

I immediately grabbed the Thai Sweet Chilli packet and shared it with my boyfriend and daughter. I wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavouring was generous but not overpowering. The texture is somewhere between a crisp and a cracker. I opened up the bag, ate the first one and couldn’t stop. I kept trying to stop but would go in for another then another. My boyfriend had to take the packet away from me so I wouldn’t spoil my appetite for dinner!

I decided to take the remainder of the pack as well as the other two to work so that my colleagues could get a chance to experience the taste sensation! My colleagues were happy to say the least, I have never felt so popular before. Once a few people had a few crackers of each flavour, the word spread and more and more people were coming over to my desk to have a taste!

Unfortunately, BzzAgent didn’t send enough vouchers for me to be able to give out as many as I wanted to. However BzzAgent did rectify this and kindly sent me some e-vouchers which I distributed.

IMG_3777

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this campaign. This is a very tasty snack that made me happy and is something that I will most likely buy regularly. I will definitely end up buying all 3 flavours as my favourite is the Sweet Chilli, my daughter’s is the Sour Cream & Chive and my boyfriend loves the Salt & Balsamic Vinegar. So Jacob’s have made my household a big fan!

This product is innovative, I would definitely recommend it to you all to buy!

Bold 2-in-1 Pearls

As a member of SuperSavvyMe’s Savvy Circle, I was given the opportunity to test the latest sensation in the laundry world – Bold 2-in-1 liquid pearl tablets.  Bold 2in1 Pearls were launched to bring you an amazing clean, the gorgeous freshness of Lenor, and added fibre care for your clothes.

image

After having a long stressful day at work, I was excited to see a wonderful package waiting for me and opening it made me even happier! I was provided with a bag of goodies from SuperSavvyMe on behalf of Bold.

image

The review kit came with one full-sized box for myself to use, eight samples to hand out to friends and family as well as 50p off coupons and an information booklet.

Since I am obsessed with smelling nice, I couldn’t wait to test these tablets out on my next washing load. Rather than my usual powder, conditioner and colour catcher going into my washing machine, I nervously trusted Bold’s claims and simply chucked one tablet into the machine with my dirty laundry. It was nice not having to mess around with multiple different laundry products.

image

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my washing machine. A waft of a fresh inviting scent emerged from my machine, as cheesy as that sounds! I didn’t want to make a judgement just yet as the clothes were still damp but secretly I was relieved that the clothes were at least clean.

The next morning I was thoroughly impressed to smell the freshness of the clothes considering I hadn’t added my usual fabric conditioner. The cleanliness and softness of the clothes were on par with my usual laundry products however the fresh smell was long lasting. I found that my clothes still held the scent of the tablet almost 5 days later.

I am not particularly a fan of Lavender but it was not overpowering so even my boyfriend didn’t mind his tracksuits smelling of it.

image

I would absolutely recommend this product, especially if you feel doing the laundry is time-consuming. I will most likely buy a different scent of the Bold 2-1 pearls tablet range soon as I only have a few more tablets left!
